Yesterday I was able to be amongst a big amount of the Thompson Family. Tracy and mick put the party on and they basicly supplied all the food too. Lots of yummy finger food and then a bbq and the a birthday cake for Nellie. Tracy brought some games home from work for the children to play. It was awesome.
The day was a little over wheleming and stressful but also fantastic and comfortable. Poor Sean, he was a mess. Very anxious about being with them. He has always found it hard to feel excepted with his family. My heart breaks because not even me can take that pain away from him. I wish I could be what pulls him out of those feelings. I’m so proud of the man I’ve married! He inspires me everyday. He has so much strength and carries us all always. He’s smart. We all can go to him with anything and he always seems to know how to help, support, guide and instruct us.
This morning I could feel I was going to break so asked for a blessing before I did so that I could be a support for him and the children. He blessed me to show love and the family with follow through. And to pay attention to the children and who they are and to teach with love. He reminded me in the car on the way to church that that is what happened. He also blessed me to listen to the speakers in sacrament meeting he supported me in that blessing by helping with the children so I could listen. It was a really good talk too. I felt the spirit. Elder Danielson-Jenson was the speaker. He mentioned about how we sometimes need to be broken before we can be humble and come unto christ. And a few other things that in the moment it was important to me.
